ELECTRICAL APPARATUSES
All electrical apparatuses conform to IEC and NEMA standards and consist of star-delta switching starter with motor and electric vent protection thermal relays and phase control. High quality components are used to ensure long life even in unstable energy supply conditions. 

ELECTRIC MOTOR
VTM compressors are equipped with high efficiency NEMA, TEAO, TEFC and IEC total enclosed motors which saves on power costs. Running in the cool end of the package increases operational reliability and availability.

INTERNAL PIPING
VTM uses Teflon and rubber SAE 100R14 standard piping, with precision hydraulic screw connections for all internal oil and air/oil pipes. Each pipe is fitted with expansion loop. This system ensures the absence of oil leaks, which reduces lifetime maintenance costs and ensures the interior of the compressor stays oil free and clean.

THE COOLING SYSTEM
An autonomous fan/cooler assembly with forced air circulation and the grids on different sides of the package guarantee that the hot air automatically is expelled leaving no hot spots inside the package during standstill.

CONDENSATE SEPARATOR
The condensate is separated in a cyclone chamber, its discharge system is the latest generation AutoDrain, is noiseless and controlled by means of electronic sensors without any loss of compressed air. 


TRANSMISSION 
Belt-driven transmission is used on the LSC series models. Tension adjustment is obtained trough a simple (basculante) system avoiding all typical problems of the belt stretcher. All VTM belt driven screw compressors retain constant tension in every operating phase thanks to the innovative design, which automatically compensates for the different forces of motor weight, start up torque and running torque. LSC series is equipped with 3V "Ultra Narrow" transmission offering static free operation, absence of noise and vibrations, long life, low maintenance and over 95% efficiency.

THE OIL SEPARATOR
The oil injected into the air-oil mist during compression is nearly completely separated out in two subsequent stages. In the first stage the mist is passed trough a pre-separation chamber. The second stage sees final separation in a special multi-stage separator. The separation system with no pressure losses guarantees a very low residual oil content of only 3ppm in every operating mode.


ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM
Starting and safety controls are located where they are clearly visible and easily reached. The latest electronic panel operating mode is selected from the exterior of the compressor and a comprehensive set of functions, working hours, pressure control, start-up cycle, oil temperature control and programmed shut-off cycle. Warning lights and instruments provide clear read-out temperature, air line pressure, filter conditions, and cut-out status.
