Compressed air used in industrial pneumatic equipment contains in one cubic meter more than 100 million of polluting particles; most of these particles are so small in dimension (less than 2 micron) that cannot be intercepted by a standard inlet air filters installed in the compressors. These particles mixed with water and oil vapors generated in the compression, cause the early wear and tear of the appliances and consequently they are the reason for expensive interruptions of the production and remarkably increase the number of interventions for maintenance purposes. The final target is to obtain a specific air quality for each peculiar purpose and thus increase and improve the performances of the whole equipment. |
